well mine aren't family cars, (2 dr dakota and a lifted jeep) but they are basic and cheap. i would love an exterra or pathfinder. but due to my commute i really need a 4 banger.

My girlfriend has an suv but I have a Monte Carlo that someone is willing to probably give me $1500 for where as if I trade it in, I won't get as much.

I drove an 89 Accord throughtout high school and 2 years worth of college. Best car I have owned. It was cheap to maintain, it got me around. I moved up since then though.

I never really realized in how much of a safe position I am in, in almost everything until today.

it's easy to get caught up in what other people have or things you want and not appreciate what you already have. although you aspire for a different vehicle, there are plenty of people that wish they were in your position.

Agreed. but it's all good, we all made those mistakes and are doing ok if not well. it's just the sooner you really genuinly realize the sooner and better off you will be.
