That sucks, extreme def can spoil you. Care to share what place it is? Only other place i like dealing with is MAPerformance, i've never had a single problem with them, pricing is great and shipping is fast.

I have gone through MapPerformance it took a couple days to get my purchase but at least they kept me updated and the prices were also good. So I knew what to expect. I'm dealing with DSMGraveyard right now. After doing a little more research it seems to be run by a couple of young guys out in MI. and they have been having problems lately. Sooooo, so far not impressed.

Yah, Ed at IDM did the machining, seeing as I live 500 feet away.

Thanks man, that's a cool little well put together machine you have there too.

I picked up a HKS 272 intake cam. I picked this cam up because I'm really thinking about moving up the turbo ladder after I take the b16g to the track/dyno and see what I can do with it. I have all the supporting mods to move up. Thinking about HX35, BB 30r I'm not sure and open to suggestion.

Well they just entered the information to the shipping company for my parts. 8 days later , Shipping has no status on it yet. So I'm guessing it hasn't been picked up yet. Most likely mid-week, next week I'll see my parts. And no-return emails or phone calls. I most likely won't be dealing with them anymore. At least its snowing and I really don't have much to do.

Funny because i just "fanned" their page on facebook a few days before you posted all this, and i still see them updating daily. Possibly a good way to go after them.

As you guys know. I've been waiting on some parts for a while now. After more phone calls and un-answered e-mails. I was on DSMtuners.com and I came across a post the owner I was dealing with DSMGraveyard just posted up announcing he "Just hired a new ASE certified machinist!". I responded to the post asking why we had not answered my E-mails or Phone calls. He responded that a shipper and Engine builder for his company just quit and he was behind in work. I could understand the delay than and I gave him the benefit of doubt. Shortly after this post one of the engine builders who quit his business posted this in same thread.... I think this confirms how I was feeling about this shop. I know I'm going to be staying away from this shop. And I know alot of you guys around here and I thought I would share with you. Don't confuse this with Mitsugraveyard ran out of New York by Gary. He is a good and well trusted.

Otherwise he said my headgasket shipped and the piston rings were out of stock and needed to be dropped shipped by Hastings the manufacturer of the rings. So well see.

Quote:
After working there for only 4 months I started to see a lot of things out there that I did not like.

So I quit on the spot Because I did not want to be part of such a Bad company.

To start off with I have information witnesses and Pictures to prove every point I make.

1) Graveyard Racing Cams are fake. Delta cam makes these for them and graveyard tries to sell them as there own kind of regrind. I have pictures of there cams.

2) COP plate. these plates are very wrong. the holes on the plates do not even match up with the bolt holes for the Coil's

3) There racing cams. . this is how they work. jon found a front axle out of a vehicle cut one end off and resplined the other end to make it work on the AWD's these axles are untested stock just OEM replacement axles From Orielis. I have Pictures when they come in what they look like. I have pictures what they look like after he cut them. I have pictures after he re-splines them and I have pictures of him removing the part number off the axle with scotch brite pads and then charging a massive 280 dollars for a so called race axle that he has never even used. when it cost him under 100 dollars to buy them and re-spline them.

4) JON and his motor BUILDS..... now this is what really pissed me off and made me quit. He currently Hired a so called machinist to do rods and heads and such when the guy is not even certified or knows what he is doing. Jon had to spend a weekend training the guy on how to do rods. So to think you are getting quality work done is wrong. jon also has been building short blocks for a while now but he has been building them right next to a sandblaster that is used everyday to bead blast rods. the last motor I was around with him he was putting in the crank and i asked him arnt you going to plasti gauge those he said no. I was asked why he said my eyes are that good i can tell. BULL****. I have pictures of the motors that he is building right next to the bead blaster.

5) customer service. this is what jon lacks is customer service he is constantly giving all customers the biggest excuses why there motor is not done or why there order is late. and it all comes down to one answer not because of the parts dealer not beacuse of the shipper not anything its jons hours he comes in at 2 everyday and leaves at 6 and does not do a thing. then when you call he blames it on mitsu dealership or something else. LIE LIE LIE....

WHAT IS TRUE.

I DID QUIT I DID NOT FEEL RIGHT RIPPING OF THE DSM COMMUNITY DAILY.

I MILKED THIS PLACE AND JONS DISCOUNTS FOR EVERY LAST BIT. THEN WHEN IT CAME TO BUILD MY MOTOR I TOOK IT HOME AND ASSEMBLED IT AWAY FROM A SAND BLASTER I ALSO PLASTI GAUGED AND CHECKED EVERY CLEARANCE.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SH** HOLE TO ANYONE EVEN IF IT IS FREE. YOUR ORDER WILL BE LATE YOUR PARTS WIL BE HALF A** AND YOUR BLOCK WILL BE FULL OF SAND CALL ROAD RACE ENGINEERING AND ASK ABOUT THE SAND FILLED BLOCK THEY RECEIVED THEY ALSO HAVE PICTURES OF THAT. I WOULD RECOMMEND EBAY PARTS OVER JONS.

Update!!!

The Odyssey PC680 I bought is apparently lost in the mail. I bought it new/used off another trusted member off another site. So its been three weeks and still not here, he didn't opt for delivery confirmation(No clue why). I'm not really even sure what to do about that. Get a complete refund? Split it the cost, cause it wasn't technically his fault. IDK...

Other parts finally came on Friday of last week rings, head gasket, etc. So I spent Sat gapping the piston rings, installed pistons, reinstalled oil squirters, installed the new rod bearings, new lower engine gaskets. Reassembled the entire motor basically. I got about 5 minutes from start up and realize I'm missing the half moon seal on the head for the valve cover. I accidentally left it on the head when I brought it to the machine shop. So drive over there search high and low and found it. Thank goodness. Key in the ignition, fire up Dsmlink to reload the settings. Batteries dead. . I have one dead jump-box also. So screwed around with the battery for another half hour. Fire it up...It lives again. Let it idle, checked the fluids, I have a small barely audible exhaust leak at the o2 to downpipe gasket causing my wide band readings to be 1.0 to lean at idle. And I also noticed it doesn't quite lope like before when the compression was lower with the 264/272. It actually idles almost stock. Kind of bummed cause I liked the lope. Haha.

First impression are the car feels much more responsive, getting into boost and part throttle acceleration are wayy better. With the valve leakage before I wasn't really getting good boost build up until 3200 to 3500. Now when I roll into the throttle I'll have at least 20psi at 3200 all the time. So initial impressions are very good. It sounds healthy. I didn't re-tune anything yet. I think I need to add some more fuel to my 2900-3200 range the wide-band seems to be showing slightly leaner than I like(could be the leak most likely not though) That is going to be done this week, and I also got a couple completed pics. I'll have to get those up.

Thanks for reading this long ass story. Time for sleep. Pics to follow shortly

Good stuff, mang. Glad to hear she's back. If the battery thing falls through, I have the same model sitting in my room that I have no use for, and you're welcome to it if you're interested. Give us a reason to stop putting off meeting up, haha.

I've been following your thread. So far so good minus the setbacks. I'm in the same boat though my head gasket went about a month ago and we just got around to actually putting **** back together today. It's still only about 75% together but I'm dying without boost.

Yah it sucks. I daily drive a 1991 Toyota Camry, with 91hp. . So you can understand my excitement when I get back behind the wheel of this thing. Feels like I'm driving F1. I want to see your car in person too, so fresh and so clean clean. Hopefully one upcoming meet, I'll get the chance. Good luck getting yours running.

Its slightly larger size than I want to go. Just a little. If you still had the manifold it be a little more enticing.

I've been driving around some more. Car still feels good. I was cruising 40-50mph a couple times and the car seemed like it just went flat, than a couple miles later it was gone was gone. Could be in my head(paranioa) so I'm not sure what it is. I really need to get link up and do a couple logs cruising and WOT.

I'm trying to make it out this Thursday to the garage meet if all goes well.

I've been having a problem loosing small amounts of coolant after each drive. Car is not overheating, its not pushing coolant out of the overflow tank, not smoking. But every time I drive the car I checked the coolant. I would have to add about a cup of coolant. I started fully inspecting everything. Re-torqued the head studs also. I saw a small drop of coolant on the bottom of the T-stat housing. I pulled it apart installed a new OEM gasket back, put it back together and its was still leaking. So I talked with Nick(Assualt187) and he mentioned double checking the T-stat housing for cracks. I have been around these cars for 8 years now. I have never heard of that happening. haha. I pull it apart and bam what do you know big ol' crack right in the mounting surface and a long crack inside the housing too.

So I'm off the car graveyard to find a new housing.

Replaced the cracked thermostat housing. No more leaks. Took it for another test drive and I was still losing coolant, I noticed that I pushing the exact amount missing into the overflow tank. The coolant wasn't being drawn back into the coolant system after the engine was shut down. So picked up a new radiator cap 16psi and the problem seems to be gone now. Thank god. I thought the issues were related to a headgasket problem.

Picked up new Vibrant exhaust gaskets to fix the small leaks and get my wide band reading correctly again. And I never realized I still have the stock shifter bushings in the shifters base. So I picked up new urethane bushing kit. All soon to be installed.

I knowww. The bumper is just sitting up on the shelf.

I have 3 friends that are all painters. I don't know what I'm waiting for. Actually I do know. Once I get the bumper painted than I'm going to want to respray the roof, than fix the crease in the drivers front fender, than the two small rust spots and rock chips in the hood. And this could snowball into a big project. haha.
