maybe i am over training. i based it on what feels comfortable. I dont use heavy weights. I just try to do reps. For upper body, its all between only 55lbs and 7lbs depending on what it is. So, less time at the gym and more broken up excersize would be better?
edit
i just ate eggs. felt like i was force feeding myself. it was 2 eggs on bread. egg sammich.

What's the general opinion on Muscle Milk? I tried it today and it tasted pretty good.... pretty much a liquid power bar lol. Anyone use it?

It's a good shake for a person like you. (skinny, probably doesn't gain fat fast) That's a good thing!

For others who need to keep lean, just 100% whey and water is the route to go. If you like the taste of muscle milk, do it! They are just kind of expensive...

You should make sure that you drink or eat some type of protein right after your workout. Maybe something lighter like whey, water, fruit, pb or something. Save the muscle milk for during the day, unless you're fine with drinking that right after you're done working out.

I personally dislike the taste of muscle milk haha.

If I tried to drink it after i'd probably puke haha. I drink it on the way to my gfs house (about a half hour before the gym) and then after we get food. It's only the second week since we started, so we're getting into the swing of things.

I can only stand the taste of chocolate Muscle Milk haha. Once I get sick of it I'll replace it. But it works for now.

mix protein with carbs like dextrose or maxy waize- they actually help your absorb the protein much better!

oh gotcha. Is this like a health club type gym? lol

I already did my cardio this morning, so im just going there to help him figure out a good routine etc. We're going to get a good bi/tri workout in as well.

not sure what exactly defines a "health club"

we've got the usual free weights, machine weights, cardio section, pool... there is a sauna, a bicycle room, um... a basic room with a wood floor for random crap i guess and a basketball course

Ha I can only imagine both D and James running my workout together... I'm all about pushing it but that'd be intense.

As far as working out, I'm about 3 weeks in to a consistent schedule and it feels great. Look forward to going back pretty much every time and I already feel better both physically and mentally. I've got a long way to go but I'm psyched with things so far.

yeah just think about the positives! do stuff that gets you excited to go- think of physical accomplishments you want to achieve and believe you will get there.
