And here is the pass door. Notice the edge between the door and the fender looks like crap.

That's taking no pride in your work. I wouldn't leave side jobs I do like that. I would go back and not just ask for compenstation, but ask for an explanation as to why they would do such a bad job, and why they would release it like that.

Sucks to see, kinda resembles a $300 Maaco special paint job. Good luck with getting it all sorted out.

Also noticed that my pass side door speaker doesn't work anymore too.

I feel I found just about everything I'm going to on my own. I'm calling the shop today after work to set up a time to review the car with them.

The rocker has to be painted while on the car, it's bonded to the frame. If the shop tried to remove them, odds are it'd be destroyed in the process. Several shops have run into that issue before on Corvette rockers.

Front bumper cover is easy to remove and install

I would be bitching at your insurance agent and this place. This car is literally worth THOUSANDS less, maybe even more because of this. They royally ****ed this car. If it was only a few things wrong, and you were bitching about small things I'd tell you to go pound sand you piece of **** corvette owner, but it doesnt seem like even one panel was done right.

Dont you wish it was totaled right about now?

considering that your car is obnoxious yellow and lifted, you would think the guy would have seen it first.

I am in and out of a body shop day in and out as I have become close friends with a body shop owner (to the point I have learned to prep a car on my own). This looks like a pretty rushed and horrible job result. No way in hell should the new work look bad. I can understand that it will never be perfect as it is not done with all panels on to save on time. There will be some imperfections. That is just plain ugly and unprofessional on the body shops part - I will end with this: The armrest is black (either it was dirty before the shop or a dusty body guy can easily do that if not careful - giving the benefit of the doubt here) and YELLOW PAINT DRIPS INSIDE THE CAR and not enough coverage on a possible hard to reach corner???????

As for the owners part: You shoulda done some research on the shop before hand. If their reputation is great, a simple chat with the owner or employee you dealt with about preferring things get painted off the car opposed to on the car. I have gotten my buddies paint jobs in my neighbors shop and there have been people who paint their daily and just say tape it up and shoot everything on the car and are extremely happy and there are other guys who want parts painted off the car with perfect matching paint. So if you didn't do that on your own part - this is partially your fault!

All in all, good luck with getting your car perfect. Good thing it is just paint that can be sanded and redone.

Set up a tentitive appointment for Friday with Excel to look at the car and discuss my concerns together. They are contacting my adjuster to have him there as well to review the things I believe that should of been on the origional estimate(front tire, rear wheel, rear bumper, and replacing side mirror) and issue a supplement if determined accurate.

I also need to stop at Home Depot on my way home and have some 2X4s cut so I can make ramps to drive my car up and get jacked up properly. Oil change is due and I wanna do it today.

There's a vendor on CF right now doing free shipping on Race Ramps. I know they're stupid expensive, but I decided to bite the bullet and order a set since they never go on group buy, and shipping for them is normally expensive so this is about as low as they're going to go.

I gotta say I used them 3 times this weekend (twice on DD, once on Cindy's G6) and they are a quality product and are very handy. They lift the car higher off the ground than my low profile jack can, so everyday maintenance is easier with more room for oil changes, etc... I also got them to set my sway bar preloads to 0 properly with the cars weight on the suspension instead of attempting to set the endlink length while the car is up on jackstands with the wheels and suspension hanging down.

I haven't yet tried the vette on them, although I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to make my own extender, or get theirs. You know how low I am, but you should make the ramps at stock height.

I got the 2 piece 56" ramps @ $228 shipped. I'll make my own little roll up 3" ramps out of wood to help with using the jack.

yeah I know, but then again they're much more than a block of wood. Don't get me wrong, it's still stupid expensive for ramps, but I intend to get my money's worth out of them lol. Making a set of full ramps that get the car 8-10" off the ground out of wood are extremely heavy, something like 50 lbs.

If you just want the little lift to just get a jack underneath then yeah definitely wood. I plan on making one of those as well

not sure if you got 2x4s yet, but phone books also work well for this application.

I've been following this on f.b. It's crazy how much went completly wrong. I can't believe the car went from being in rough condition wrecked, To even worse condition, when finished by a professional automotive shop!
