Will, I am sure that Tiny would back you up, but he left early. Mike would have as well, but he wasnt even there. IIRC VWcorradokid left early as well, and I would have been behind you but I think I left before you came.

Guess we just gotta stop talking and start doing before we lose the spot, although majority of members arent excited to be there in the first place.

Well, I think any time you put a bunch of folks together that like to tune, customize and show their automobiles, your gonna have a few that CANNOT resist trying to show-off, whether or not they have the stuff. It's very peculiar behaviour, but I have seen it time and time again. I don't think moving or rotating or whatever is the answer, you're going to have to self-police your meet. Or, find a ligitimate location place where you either charge a entry fee or show some kind of proof your a member and brought a guest or whatever. You're either organized or you're not. The Whitman lot is a pretty nice location and the management seems pretty cool even though hardly any attendees eat there. The place is centrally located, well lit and fairly spacious it would be ashamed to abandon it. Plus that would stop the Douche bags from going there any way. It was ashamed to see the KOP dissolve as well. The Ikea meet was/is a great venue too but the Drifting gotta go someplace else....

Just my humble opinion...

I cant help but Laugh at all the Bitching in this thread yet everyone saying they Dont want to go or Left early and did nothing about it...I havent been out to a TST event in a Long ass time (Had work issues with the Tyler State BBQ) but Prior to that it was the Blown Euroz meet 2 years ago (Which wasn't even Exclusive TST)...But point is...I remember the Roosevelt Mall meets and there was a few nights it got pretty big then everyone would decide to "Drive" Down the Blvd to the Wawa and that Restaurant that was always closed...Like that wasnt Chaos enough.

If your gonna Pout about the meet not being up to snuff actually DO SOMETHING about it. I would Love to come out and mingle/eat/drink with my fellow Tuner friends...I just HATE coming in my DD...I want my Talon to show up in.

Tiny is big enough to scare pretty much anyone into leaving and if he had everyone else there backing him up I think it's safe to say people would leave/clean there act up and stop acting like Douches.

WTF! I miss a week and look what happens! The TST members need to start speaking up, not just me, Will, etc. People wanna piss and moan about what's happening but no one wants to do anything to change it. I can't be there every week. Will can't be there every week. I stepped up and got permission to be there from the tavern, the cops, the realty company and now it's time for everyone else to come up to bat and stand up for TST. Either we do this right or disband the meet because TST will end up getting a bad name and then we won't be allowed anywhere.

My recomendation, for now, is to keep it at once a month. I've already talked to management and the meet needs to be more regulated or we are going to be asked to leave.

The reality is that you cant just say that the meets should be once a month... people will continue to go there every week... either because they dont care what anyone else says, or because they dont even use the internet and they think the meet is weekly anyway.
Strength in numbers... and I don't mean fighting, but I do mean that if we make a presence and we make the effort to keep everyone under control then things will be under control. We've got the numbers, we've got the property owner, and we've got the police on our side... there's no reason that we can't keep the ass-hattery to a minimum if its to a point that things need to change.

im sorry but i dont see anyone else stepping up to help regulate things. as for the owner and the cops they wont be on our side for much longer. like i said before if this kind of stuff keeps up they already told me that we will be asked to leave and not come back. so lets start stepping up or we lose this spot too. whitman also suggest that maybe we come up with a way to have tst distinguish ourselves. and yeah i know troll you dont think its a good idea but they are just trying to help out. so right now at its either step up or lose that spot...........

Also it would not hurt for more people to come inside the tavern and actually spend some money..The past 2 or 3 times I have been inside the bartender tells me no one even comes inside anymore..Last week I was sitting there drinking until about 2:00 and I came in at like 11:30, there was no one else inside other then the 4 or 5 of us which is pretty lame.

I said that bc the way your comment came off was like, if the meet was moved to a different location then you would never come bc you wanted the meet to stay at whitman's.... thus the "nice knowing you" remark. Which I think is pretty lame if you would just fall off because the meet was moved.

Even though I would rather the meet be moved back to the last freshworks spot, I'll support whatever everyone decides to do, whether its trying to keep this spot or trying to move onto another one. Although I still don't think there's anything special about this spot I'd rather not deal with the drama everyweek, esp if there is a better alternative
