And yeah, i delete my raw files. If i'm shooting an event or something, i'll keep the RAW files until I know their not needed anymore. But if i'm just taking pics for me, then i'll usually only keep the jpeg.

Bob, you've been posting some really nice stuff. Even just how clean your car always is makes me envious, my car's disgusting.
With how much you shoot i can imagine those RAW files take up lots of space, but have you thought about backing up the RAW's on an external? Storage is so cheap these days. I guess if it's personal stuff it's no big deal but I am a freak about backing things up.

still need to find something better to shoot with these extension tubes than things on my desk. i enjoy duotones too i guess on pics that seem kinda boring to me

Actually that isn't bad at all if she was lit better and didn't look like she wanted to kill you. The background is pretty nice but would be better if it was slightly more oof and a tad darker.

Well Spock told me I could borrow his 580ex flash for a few days so ill try to redo it then, thanks. As far as wanting to kill me, i have a few other shots from the same place that ill edit and post...problem is she didnt stand still in them or they are noisy

work on her and the background as separate layers and use masks...maybe something like this 2 min job

edit: and i guess if you were shooting people maybe include more of her in the pic

Yeah a flash would help direct flash isn't ideal but it would help.

The 580ex has this thing built in its like a little white card that pops out and can give a soft flash...ill have to try with that
