Funny you should mention that... When my buddy's DSM grenaded its tranny at Island Dragway last year, I was forced to actually sit on a milk crate in my own S4 for a good 80-90 miles. LOL. The gas station right next to Island Dragway was nice enough to provide us with the milk crate.

yeah i understand weight reduction more than most people. personally i would never gut a car unless it was for full blown track racing. and i would still leave at least two seats in it. def is like free speed though, and in your case you made money to go faster(selling stuff), lol

Well even though it's a late welcome, welcome to the site. I like your car and even though it is gutted that's cool. It was intended to be a track car and weight reduction is definetly a good option. You seem to have a good deal of respect and maturity level. Good luck with future plans on your car. Just ignore anyone who gives you problems on the site.

Solid looking S4, awsome times, and strip as much off YOUR car as you want cause your running low 11's and smiling in the face of 10's!!! some guys are more into speed then what a girl might think of his car.. I salute that!!

My white R/T needs a clutch and headgasket right now. Probably gonna go with an el cheapo OEM clutch and a Cometic head gasket... I'm dying to get the thing into the 12's with the stock snail. I think a new head gasket, centerlining the cams, some mild head work, and ditching the balance shafts should net me a 12.6 to 12.8 on a nice cool night.

It was a joke... The B5 S4s only came TT.

Why do you say they break a lot? I've owned mine since 2003 and the only parts I've broken are shift knobs and shifters (knock on wood).
