Military ID?

I'm active duty in the military. I've gotten pulled over on several occassions, once in uniform. Only twice did I actually receive a speeding ticket but it was dropped from reckless to a minor, nonmoving, ticket and they were given by state troopers in Virginia and North Carolina. Up in Pennsylvania, the officers have let me go when I show my military ID. I was wondering, just curious, if you give military personnel a break because of their service? I never asked for special treatment but I do appreciate it and I do have a mutual respect for law enforcement as I hope to leave the military and go into state or federal law enforcement.

all depends what you did

If it's traffic related I'm always looking to give people a break so if your military it just makes it easier. But I expect soldiers to act in a professional manner and not expect any preferential treatment.

I usually act in a professional manner. I don't drive too aggressively and usually stay within 5-10 of the speed limit. Always slow down when I see police. I just enjoy driving fast when I can that's all. Thanks for the information. Makes sense.
