When something has foibles and won't handle perfectly, that gives it a particularly human quality as it makes mistakes. That's how we can build a relationship with a car that other people just won't get - Jeremy Clarkson

At 170,000 miles, the driver side door's weatherstripping is flattened so it doesn't hold the door against the latch like it once did

The car has full length beefy ass subframe connectors that are welded in at 3 different locations which stiffened up the chassis quite a lot. There is still a bit of flex but it's not enough that you can really see, what you're seeing is definitely the weather stripping on the driver side door being smushed 4+ times per day every day for 13+ years and now isn't as thick as it once was... my god that's over 18,000 times! I know that's what it is because all the video I've shot with the camera on the other side of the car, the passenger door doesn't move like this because it hasn't been opened and closed nearly as much over the years.

I liked watching the focus go around the cones, I've had my svt foci out on an autocross and its a blast. I wasn't anywhere near competitive, but the car sure could be.
