5th Gen. Sentra Engine Swaps?

My friend is interested in doing an engine swap in his 5th Gen Spec V. Is it actually possible to drop an SR20DET into is, or is he better off building the QR25DE?

He basically wants to build an entire engine, so he would be buying a motor (crate or out of a wrecked car) and rebuilding it then dropping it into his car. How much power can you actually get out of the QR25DE?

And finally where is the best local place to buy Nissan motors? I have never done anything with a Nissan at all so I don't know who carries what for them.

Being as there are B15's that came with SR20 motors I'm sure its possible, I just dont know what parts he would need. 2000-2001 Sentra SE's are the ones with SR20's in them. I'm gonna say he would be better off building up the QR25DE.

it is possible to swap a sr into a spec v. i have seen it done. it is also possible to swap the vq 30 and vq35 into a spec. both require alot of work to do so. a turbo kit and good tune can get the stock motor safely at 300 hp. anything more than that and its advised to redo the bottom end. such as new rods and pistons, a block sleeve or block guard, metal headgasket, and all of the other little things. its all about how much you want to spend.
