Best turbo?

Just looking for some feedback as to who you guys think makes the best or quickest spooling turbo. I've heard that precision/garrett are the best. what else is out there?

This will be going on a KA-T.

For quick spooling look into ball bearing turbos. PTE looks like they have good stuff from my searching. Turbonetics also looks very good.

Mmmmm, Ball bearings. And remember, the lighter the wheel, the easier it is to spool. There is nothing quite as satisfying as some titanium aluminide goodness.

my personal opinion is that i won't go anything but garret, i haven't heard of many complaints and they warranty their products, great turbos and you'll love the power of their dual ball bearings

ck out www.turbo-concepts.com they do great work and they can build you what ever you need. What every you do do not cheap out on the turbo or you will pay for it in the end. TC is the only place I will trust to put my turbos together.

This doesn't equal fast spooling turbo.

GT30R (.82A/R turbine) is probably the fastest spooling turbo capable of your 400whp goal on pump gas.

I wouldnt really worry about spool up
1) Its over rated
2) you have a 2.4L
I would def get a garret gt turbo.... a 30r if you looking for about 500 and a 35 if your looking for about 600.

I would say 500 for a 35 ond 400 for a 30 cause those are maxed out race gas numbers probably that's what I'd think at least a 35r would be your best bet for that kind of power and it should spool nicely its just what kind of 35 now really

If you want a quick spooling turbo you should be maxing it out to meet your goals.
