Far too much time behind the wheel recently...at least this helps pass the time.

Another shot from the photo day with Sleeper. We went out in search of abandoned cement factories and found this:

not sure if im the only one who only gets notifications at random from this site. anyhow, sorry, i didnt see this. anyhow, thanks alot for your kind words. as for lighting, i try to utilize natural light as much as humanly possible and have a rather distasteful attitude towards flash. however, i will admit that, much of this attitude is fear of learning how to use flash properly and to my advantage.

so, onto the point, many of my travel shots are no flash, and many of the shots of food, such as the fijitas, chicken wings, and another or so there are outside, under a tent, with a white sided reflector. many of the finer food shots, the boar, the steak, and tuna, are inside, on a table, with one AB1600, way overhead and to the left of the camera, as high as i could get it. i also had the setup table very close to a window so that i could utilize some of the natural light coming in from outside. here is a few more, i dont think i posted these, but if i did, i apologize...............

Curiosity but what lens would you recommend for a person who wants to learn how to take pictures of food?

Whats your budget? 17mm TS-E if your baller. 24L is a decent choice.

Went back out today to try and find the cement plant I'd been searching for and I'm happy to report that I successfully tracked it down. This place is photo gold.

Shame about the tree and signs in this pic though:

cool elliot, i only have one suggestion, but you really cant do it in post, if you shot that last photo again, with only the paper completely in focus, so that the viewer can know whats goin on, then have the yellow ribbons blur out in the background. still a cool shot !
