I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. I'd like to see your car on the dyno so hopefully you will have it all ready.

I'm going to try and convince 2 or 3 of my friends to get in on this. Just wish i had a 2wd vehicle ready.
Don't think i saw it mentioned but what kind of dyno is this again?

I want to say its only a 2WD dyno however I could be wrong. My car is always ready just a matter of having the time to drive it up there. I didn't know the place was 1 1/2 hours from my house.. darn it

You are most certainly allowed to hook up HP tuners for logging and locking the automatic into gear. IN fact, that's really nice that you're able to do that, as it certainly beats slowly increasing the RPM/speed to avoid a downshift :D

Awesome! I was given a nice little look at how the differential was setup too...kinda neat seeing how Subaru sets up their transfer case and etc when comparing it to a traditional truck setup :D

Yeah I had my HP tuner/Scanner hooked up to my car the last time I was on the dyno. But I didn't think about locking the trans into a certain gear.

My car kept downshifting to 1st or the wrong gear and giving bogus dyno readings. The first run I put down 320WHP, then the 2nd and 3rd were 407whp then 411whp. The 2nd and 3rd runs were definitely bogus (TC flash I think). So being able to keep my car in 2nd gear will result in a perfect dyno read out hopefully.

I'm very intersetd to see where I'm at. Want to see where I stand with my stock clutch and current mods VS when I replacemy clutch with aftermarket and see if all that money is really worth it.

I'd assume this would most definatly give a good reading. Automatic cars with big power adders can be very odd on the dyno at times.

Nope, it should be easy...only thing with Auto cars is getting it to the right RPM and speed to avoid a downshift...something Matt and I figure out when running the dyno.

I'll be there with the Cutty but I don't know if I'm going to dyno. Anyways, I can lend a hand with it since I have a little experience with L67s. Have you tried locking it into second gear with HP Tuners yet?? I ask because HP Tuners will not lock mine into gear.

Wow it be cool to finally see your Ciera. I always wanted to throw an L67 into my Ciera/Eurosport but once I got my hands on the regal I couldn't look back. However yeah my HP tuner can lock my trans into whatever gear I pick and keep it there until I unlock it myself. I few other members have said the same thing they can't get HP tuners to lock the trans in a certain gear. Thankfully for me it works fine. I lock my car in 2nd gear so I can do a WOT tune which helps greatly.

Drive the car like it was ment to be driven and I'm sure the tranny will break. Then it may become RWD.
