I'm not talking about the 6-speed, MB sucks at making manuals. I also had a coupe and not a convertible, which was very rigid through corners. But you are right, everyone has their own opinion.

I really didnt enjoy pushing the car, after a while I just drove it with the top down without having any fun at all, the only thing i still liked was the exhaust note.
I doubt you've driven a crossfire anywhere near as hard as whitexfire has... considering he owned one. And I seriously hope you're not driving cars at the dealership you work at hard...

My experience in the SRT-6, on a road course, and on an autocross course, had me wanting one bad... It still does. I'd LOVE to have an SRT-6 as a track car and I certainly wouldn't mind replacing my SRT-4 with one. The 300hp engine brought that little ****er up to 120+ on a straight away while I was only getting to 110 or so in the heavier, but more powerful Charger SRT-8.

The car handled extremely well, was very nimble, and responded just as I wanted. The only thing you have to be careful about is when you're taking a turn at 80mph that begins as an ascent, then ends in a descent that curves to the right... I had the car skipping over the track like a rock on water before the traction control saved my ass lol.

Car leveled out nicely and I don't think I lost much speed either...

Ive driven quite a few of them, at work and off of work, and Im not talking about an srt-6 im talking about the regular Crossfire, which I still think is a turd.

who cares? you're right. it's their money, that they earned, to spend as they see fit.

If they enjoy the car, it's not a waste of money.

I don't get why you're upset, they didn't decide to buy a weekend car to make you happy...

I'll never understand why people just can't be happy for other people when they do things that make them happy... instead they come up with some selfish reason to be annoyed or upset.

The MSRP for a brand new Redline is only 29.8K, so I'd expect one a year and a half old to be in the lower 20's. There's also the Pontiac Solstice (and GXP version), which is basically the same car with a different design for 2K less MSRP.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with the S2000 either.
Exactly what I was thinking. Those Sky's look like an exotic when you pass em by, IF you pass em by. I've only ever seen two on the road. I don't care for those Solstices though. They look like a dildo.

Oh well about that Crossfire. They're not that bad, right? And technically it's a Mercedes, yeah? ;)

Agreed 100%, I like the Sky ten times over the Solstice. When I had the Crossfire, I also saw none on the road. They're "slightly" more common now, but not much. And yes, it's basically ALL MB parts, assembled in the Karmann plant in Osnabruck, Germany (same place the SLK chassis was assembled).

The only thing I'd possibly be upset over is whether or not they got a good deal. From what it sounded like, it was just an OK deal. Like I said earlier, you can find almost (if not entirely) brand new Crossfires for WAY under what they originally cost if you know where to look.

I think a lot of people don't realize just how "identical" the Crossfire is to the SLK320, so here you go:

SLK320

Crossfire

SLK320

Crossfire

SLK320

Crossfire

SLK320

Crossfire

SLK320

Crossfire

Just talked to my dad and he is picking it up today. Then me mentions, oh they had the supercharged one there too for an extra thousand dollars. I asked why he didnt et that one and he just simply replied "you know how your mother drives, she would kill herself". Oh well ill have fun driving the crossfire, maybe even stop up and take the SRt6 for a spin.

Whitexfire how much are they missing out on the SRT6? Is it THAT much better?

compare the differences between any other vehicle and their SRT badged version...

and the SRT-6 is just an AMG... hehe...just an AMG

I wouldn't trust the SRT-6 in the hands of someone that drives like a douche, or just doesn't know how to drive or handle the power, weight, and rwd vehicle.

The difference is a larger fixed spoiler, different front bumper, different wheels, tighter suspension, upgraded brakes, a 200mph speedometer instead of 160 with a higher limited speed (i believe), nicer seats with alacantra inserts, and a very low 13-sec quarter instead of a high 14-sec quarter.
