Ladies and Gentlemen, the saga of Cleanneon's broken turd has come to a close. Had the timing belt done today and the car is running like a top once again. The shop that did this said the crank pulley was off 2 teeth and also when I shredded one of my accesory belts even before this issue started, somehow a piece made it's way into the timing belt area and was basically stuck there. Car holds great idle and vaccum, revs all the way out, and is pretty ****ing quick for being back to stock.

My intake kit is in the making right now and should get the car back to the 180whp or so range, right now the car only makes around 155-160whp and feels phenominal and because of the intake also being a MAF relocation kit, it fools the stock ECU out of a lot of the factory bugs.

I'm happier than a pig in ****.

Yes sir! Ordering a high flow downpipe as well today, really shooting for the ~ 200 whp mark.

Also got the preload all straightened out yesterday, car rides a ton better now and feels great. Raised it to 5" pinchweld to ground rear, 4.75" front.

Now looking at exhausts to go with my intake that's coming in a week or two. Just want to do the power package at once so I can feel that difference of ~45whp at once. Should put me at right around the 200 mark.

I'm leaning towards the BEGi system just because I can get a better deal on it, but the FlyinMiata one is an option too.

I wish I knew what a 250whp MSM felt like.. Im at the point where I am going to unload mine or dump a decent chunk of $ into it... Big enchalada kit maybe? Any thoughts? oh and congrats on getting her fixed up.

There are a lot more options for tuning now than ever before. You can build a kit with different FM and BEGi parts, ****, BEGi even sells the "Shanghai" upgrade which uses a china charger and makes similar power to their Garrett turbos, just costs a LOT less. Have you done basic boltons yet?

Tuning wise it used to be:
HYDRA = 2000
XEDE = 1100

Now in the mix as well
MS P&P for MSM = 1100
BEGi reflash = 795
FM is working on more tuning stuff as well, not much info yet.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you can make right around 250whp if you crank up that boost with a tune+hydra no? If I remember correctly the msm I rode in was running right around 16 pounds on a stock turbo

You can but the small turbo only has optimal flow till around 12psi. And not enough fuel (265cc injectors). More fuel needs more tune, which costs too much.

This is why it pays to save for the bigger stuff that you know you're going to want. Like a big turbo instead of a small one. Or injectors. So you don't end up with headaches trying to sell things and spending more money later on.

Your car looks great. Glad you're happy with it.

Begi-S kit is a great starting point at $2k. Add intercooler and injectors later. Or there's the FM no-electronics kit for $3,000 which comes with their badass intercooler design. I'd go with MSPNP over Hydra because it's about 75% cheaper than Hydra and does 80% of the same stuff.
