Aloha from the trenches!

Im not camping out with bryan & everyone else, I am elsewhere with my confirmed sale voucher in hand. took me 2 days & alot of negotiating to get where I am, but it has all been worth it. Its been a rollercoaster to say the least. but here i am, waiting til 8 am to pick up my very own PS3. Ill post up pics and the epic journey that has been the past 3 days of my life. Good luck to all those out there.

Ok i was at circuit city in oxford valley. everyone, wait for the video. here is a quick breakdown.

150-200 people, all lined up. Dashed for the door, i was in the front of the line (to run to the door), i got pushed down, along with 10 other people, and people started trying to jump the pile, and it was litterally a pile up of people. there was 6 people on top of me, and some kid dove over the pile and hit the wall to get a spot. THEN i get pulled off by a cursing cop with handcuffs, and he throws me away. Next this kid under me gets up holding his face, and its covered in blood and there is blood on the ground. I got kicked in the face, got cut, and stepped on, and hit in the head. It was totally out of control, and those pictures dont even show JACK **** to what actually went on. After the pile up, there was a total of like 15 cop cars and like 30 cops, and they were screamin for everyone to quote "Get the F*CK out of here now or your being arressted."

Then i went to target , was #17 in line. They only had 16. What a ****ty ass draw that was.

The target and circuit city was fun tho hanging out, the mob scene sucked.

P.S. I called my GF this morning, someone in mass. got shot at a walmart and someone ran off with there PS3

Blame the guys camping to sell? We couldnt/wouldnt do it if people werent willing to buy. we couldnt/wouldnt do it if sony didnt intentionally release so few units. If those complaining really cared as much as they say, why weren't they ahead of me in line?
I agree I am partially guilty for what is going on, but factoring the pros and cons right now as I turned down multiple $1000+ offers for my spot in line and now my PS3 sits next to me in my house, I could care less.

Sony has some very well paid marketing execs who carefully planned the release to go down exactly like this and thats the way they wanted it. Crazy news coverage, people talking about it on the street, people talking about it on forums... its all great advertising and it makes for a highly coveted item. If they dumped 2 million on the market people would swing by their local store whenever they had the time to and anyone could own one, it wouldnt be so special and it wouldnt make for such crazed buyers.

As for the experience... it was pretty sweet. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I'm dead tired and am about to go hop in the shower for the first time in 3 days but hell... it was undoubtedly a good time, and thats not even counting the ridiculous amount of incredibly attractive young housewives who apparently frequent Target.

I'm gonna go shower now, but hopefully more photos and eventually a little documentary style video will be up soon.

no it just got a little wet. our tent wasnt what you would call waterproof. ill wash it and have it back to you asap. I cant promise it will smell as good as it did when you gave it to me. It was the talk of the tent.

See its crap like that why I don't camp out. The stores should of let 1 or 5 people in the store at a time. Keep the line single file and orderly. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
