^it's illegal for them to have quotas. part of the checks&balances system i think. if they did, the courts would be flooded.

Its illegal but it doesnt mean they don't do it. I know of two departments that have quotas. My buddy used to work for a local PD that required him to have atleast 35 tickets a shift.

What if you had an "Incentive Program." It could act similarly to "quotas" but when asked, you can state there aren't any quotas. However, it would mean that when a certain number of tickets were written in a given period of time, you would earn double-time pay for your time spent in court? It's semantics. My guess is that this is how the system really works. There aren't minimums, but you get "bonused" based on higher productivity.

They can give all the tickets they want. I drive slow as **** on regular roads. Usually i stick to around 70mph on the highway. No need to go any faster than that. Plus i know how much power my car makes and i don't need to prove anything by speeding everywhere i go.

35 a shift?! i call BS on that, maybe 35 a month but a shift is ridiculous..i doubt it very much

i agree....i usually go maybe 10mph +/- 3-5mph depending on what township and what road im on....and on highways ill do between 70-80....anything after 80 feels pretty unnecessary for cruising speeds.

yeah bs on the 35 a shift, they would be like pulling over everyone other car if that was the case.. i usally go around 10 over on the interstate or so, then just a few over the limit on normal roads and certain back roads i open it up if i know there is no pd

I got pulled over friday on 663 for a bs reason. was 130 at night. He was lookin to get a dui on me. too bad i don't drink. haha. Cops don't have quotas, they have expectations. haha

there was a articale in The Morning Call about this. the state police issused a press release saying this is a hoax.

This buddy of yours lied to you. One of the highest paid per ticket local PD's is Upper/lower saucon PD. Even they do not expect their officers to write anywhere NEAR that. They also have a cap on daily pay so their LEO's wont get ticket crazy.

Check your local PD's and try to get yourself on a ride along. Then come back here and let us know how easy it will be to round up 35 tickets daily.

yeah, that number sounded extremely inaccurate. also, that wasn't even daily. he said per shift.
that would be a looooooooot of tickets.
