its a stock 7.8:1 compression with ARPs and BC272s. Last time I checked the compression was around ~130psi which I have read is normal for BC 272cams. I could post the datalog from my fastest pass if anybody wants to take a peek?

BTW I was running a 2G maf with no honeycombs what so ever in it, I dont know if that can affect performance but I feel like it could throw off my Airflow readings.

I still have to check the ignition timing and check boost leaks again to make sure nothing was created at the track.

I know on a 2G MAF you are not supposed to remove any of the honeycombs, something about the car not running smoothly. Not sure if this can be overcome with a tuning solution such as link, but my guess would be that it would affect the A/F readings to some extant.

Ok a couple things I see.

2G Hacked MAF is never really going to give you great readings but is not going to slow you down.
11.0 on pure meth? Thats really freaking rich. Meth's Stoich ratio is 6.4:1 compared to gasoline's 14.7 so I would lean that mixture out if you are running pure meth. Personally I run 12.0 on my 50/50 mix, (e316g@25psi). I want to see if I could get it higher (12.5) soon after I get my Del Sol running and can afford to break this thing again.
130psi compression with BC272 is not what I would consider normal. On my car which is 7.8 compression I have 165psi with BC272. On my buddies 2.3 9.0:1 build with BC 272 he has 215psi. You probably need to degree your cams lot. Try degreeing cams before we suggest the alternative of freshening up the motor. BCs are apparently notorious for needing degreed.

Do you have a ECM link log you could post we all could look at?

The reason I gutted that maf is because I started the car one morning and it had a methanol backfire out of the intake and it blew the honeycombs right out of the maf! I didnt know this happened so when I tried to drive the car it ran like ****. (the backfire blew the maf inside and the honey comb ended up destroying my 16G) This is why I ended up upgrading to the holset. So after that I was always scared this might happen again. Keep in mind tho this has happened years ago.

1) I thought this as well, although when I have ran a 2G maf on other DSMs with no honeycombs they have ran like this but it never seemed to affect my car.

2) I might have to lean the car out a bit more then, I am still not really hitting any knock.

3) Noob question but how do you degree the cams? I am assuming you need aftermarket cam gears?

I do have the ECMlink logs but TST wont let me upload them because its a .elg file. So here is a link to the thread I made on Tuners. (the logs are posted on the bottom)

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/drag...ros-chime.html

I also have another theory floating around my head don't know what you guys think about it. If you look at my log it appears that after I shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd my RPMs end up at 4200rpm and 4400 RPM respectively. I am thinking that I am dropping out of the powerband on the 1 - 2 and 2 - 3. I am thinking that is what is hurting my 1/8 mile trap and why I am picking up ~28miles on the big end.

I am thinking that I might have to Rev too 8000 so when next gear comes up I can be over 5000RPM. Not 100% sure on this theory though.

Yeah degreeing cams you will need a cam card and adjustable cam gears. I have never done it before but "I know a guy who does this." lol

Yeah based on those logs you have some work to do as a driver. Quicker shifts and more RPMs.

I have logged 45lbs/min with my 16g before. You need to be higher with that Holset and keep the RPMs up there too.

You do see a bit of knock at the top of 3 gear. that looks to be from 27* of timing. Or maybe a ton of meth.

First this I would do is lean it out to 12.0 do some pulls and see what you get.

I guess I can try shifting it faster but with NLTS arnt you supposed to wait for the RPMS to drop to the set RPMs or else its negating the whole point of NLTS saving transmissions? That was just my understanding of NLTS but I could be wrong.

Also as far as the airflow numbers do you think they could be off on my set up because this was done on a 2G maf with no honeycombs?

I just pulled a 2G MAF with honeycombs off my 3000GT, I am also installing different valve springs/retainers/valve stem seals on the car today, I will also pull the forge off the car and get it welded thursday and hopefully the weather is good thursday night so I can try to retune the car and try to make a pass on friday and see what happens. I will also check for more boost leaks and check the ignition timing before I try to hit the track friday.

I thought the point of NLTS was to keep rpm up.

The point of NLTS is the throttle body never closes so the BOV never opens up and all the air stays in the system and your turbo stays spooled. Shift higher and set the NLTS hold RPM higher. Or just forget the NLTS and drive it like you stole it. That my suggestion. NLTS is really hard on your trans if you don't do it right. So its not worth it for me.

What's the NLTS set at right now?

Eh don't mess with the MAF at this point. Adjust AFRs and turn off that NLTS.

Why new springs and retainers? Where you experiencing blow out or misses at high RPM?

Brief run down of degreeing from the boys over the Crane Cams. BC are notoriously out of degree as was already mentioned. I had the BC 272s in my old DSM degreed and gained 12whp and the sound was noticeably more linear.

My NLTS is set at 5000. The way to mess up your trans with NLTS is setting it too high the whole point besides keeping boost in the system is for the car to lower the RPMs close to what it should be for the next gear thus limiting the amount of work your synchronizers have to do. Unfortunately this doesn't happen instantly since the RPMs need to drop back.

There is a few reasons I cannot ditch NLTS.

1) My trans does not shift without NLTS on, it doesnt grind but it wont let you shift it very fast.

2) The respool on my turbo is wayyyy too long to lift the throttle to shift.

3) I have been driving with NLTS on for over 2 years now and it would be way too difficult for me to relearn how to shift again.

I got new springs and retainers because I want to rev the car to 8000 so hopefully when I shift it will keep me in the powerband for the next gear. I have read you can rev stock valvetrain to that much but I don't really feel safe doing it. It was a cheap up grade plus I had to do valve stem seals anyways.

Thanks for the link man! I would probably end up buying another set of cams before I got adjustable cam gears. But thats just me.

As far as stuff that I did to the car today.
- Installed the springs/retainers/valvestem seals.
- Took the forge BOV apart and modified it so I can have it welded Thursday so I can fix that stupid boost leak.
- Found a ton of Oil in my spark plug hole for cylinder 4, stupid old valve cover gasket.
- Found out that my plugs were a little looser than I want them to be.
- Found out my car has 1G lifters and no lifter tick, might buy the 3G ones just incase.
- Installed 2G mas with honeycombs

Anyone want to earn some money? I just finished a complete rebuild of the car and it's ready for idle, partial throttle, and wot tune. I'm running V3 SD.
