Yeah. I didn't think I blew it until I went to leave.

I started the car and it knocked for a few seconds like usual. (Car always took about 5 seconds to build up Oil Pressure, so during this time it made some fun noises.) Then as I drove home it kept knocking, and by the time I got home the knock was really loud, so loud that I could hear it over my radio.

True it takes some custom work but they are torquey. Oh wells it was free so I thought I'd put it out there..

Did you bother to check if it was low on Oil? LOL. I know how you love to neglect those things. Could just be a bad oil pump. NEVER KNOW.

To be honest, I'm too stupid to feel the difference between a torquey motor and a non-torquey motor.

I changed the oil Last Saturday, and I always fill it just a tad high (Usually right below the H mark on the dipstick) incase it burns a touch of oil. I've only driven about 300 miles since then, so I know it shouldn't be too low.

Regardless, I'm not doing anything with this motor, and it looks like the car's going up for sale in the next week or two.

Haha Gabe if you can make it fit into a CRX you'd get the biggest high-five ever recorded. Don't sell it fro just because of a bad engine pft it happens then we rebuild or swap..

You have to look at it from my perspective.

I'm 19 years old, and I have a full time job and I'm a full time student.

At my job I'm a Project Manager/Engineering Designer. I work 40 to 50 hours a week in a high stress environment doing a job more suited to someone that's 10 years older than I am. (Why I sleep like poop these days.)

I go to school for free, because of how well I did in high school. I have to maintain a 3.0 GPA or else I lose my grant money, and I really should be maintaining something like a 3.5 GPA so I can continue on with my Degree for free.

This leaves me with like Zero free time 9-10 months out of the year, and when I'm not in school my job is exhausting enough.

I don't have time to be building a car, nor is it a higher priority than school.

I also need to get my social life back in order, because I don't really have any friends outside of car meets and stuff because I'm so busy all the time.

Yeah, some people say I'm lazy, but I'm not. Usually, I'm just too tired and too Mentally and Physically drained to work on cars after I'm done all of the stuff I NEED to do.

I don't NEED to build a car. I WANT to build a car.

Needs supersede wants.

It's not really a beater, but we use it as such.

It's got 220k+ miles on it, and was originally owned by my Grandfather, so it's a family heirloom of sorts. It's also not "My" car, though I'm free to use it any time.
