Saw this on another forum, supposedly it's a 2.5L 5 cylinder Volvo turbo motor, pushing 305HP and 324TQ. I almost can't believe it. Anyone know if these are coming to the US and when? These pictures weren't taken by me.

last i heard it was not coming to the U.S.

but its no big deal, who wants a high hp Fail Wheel Drive car anyways

Not true, rumors have it Ford and a lot of Ford enthusiasts are trying to push the Focus to be brought over to the US.

I reason I heard it won't be coming here is because it would translate into roughly $40k USD to pick one up and nobody would buy it.

The US always gets cars made from left-overs of the Euro market so naturally we won't see this, just like we never saw Honda's Type-R cars, or the higher trims of the STi and EVO.

APPARENTLY, Mitsubishi will make an EVO X fq400 for the states..which should book out to nearly $70,000....yeaaaaaa....

The Focus RS is what the SVT Focus should of been. Granted, I loved my SVT Focus when I had one, but it did lack FI until I modded it.

I heard it wasn;t coming to the U.S like all good domestic cars they keep em far away. Also i heard it was gonna be more than a sti. All points that have been brought up already but still. I do like the front end the rear from what i cna see looks terrible. Prob a beastly car but even if it was here and only 25k i wouldn;t buy it.

i work for a ford dealer, asked my ford rep last week about it. right now it is a NO but they are trying to push it since the euro focus platform will be moved here in the next year.

It's not over here because it's on a different platform than the current US Focus. Ford is globalizing the Focus platform for 2011, then we will get one. It will not be 40k either. It's a high hp fail wheel drive car that beat the Ford GT around Ford of Europe's test track in Belgium, and is expected to run around 8:15 at the Nordschleife circuit, which is faster than the E46 M3, Lotus Exige S, Audi S5, and Lexus IS-F, among others. Since it's not a Subaru, Mitsu, or now apparently Hyundai, it's garbage I guess.

And seriously, this is really old news. This car's been for sale for 6 months now, and the world has known about it for over a year, lol.

come on guys, this guys got one in his avatar... hes an expert. people get excited about these because they aren't sold in the US... same reason why people still get excited when they see 20 year old skylines running around...

I personally would not buy one because they cost to much for what it is... Sure its a fierce rally car for FWD events, but its really nothing amazing. Maybe if PA roads were rally tracks id consider, but I still could never see myself buying one of those over a m3 or something...

The RS has been available in europe in a few incarnations for years(since 2002), not just one. Are you guys sure it's fwd too? cause my understanding was that it was AWD. either way it's pretty hot

thank you! thats what i said but was called cocky...if there is anyone on tst that knows the details of this car, its this guy PnS.

and its fwd only. its REVOknuckle front suspension design was discussed heavily in an older thread here. am amazing setup indeed.
