My 240sx Adventures: Pictures and story!?

Well the title has says it all. On my way to work today i decided i would love to make a thread that has a ton of pics of all my 240's i have ever owned. As most nissan owners know, u can never just own one... for some unknown reason. So i figured i would almost do an outline of the past 4+ years with my 240's. unfortunately with my last computer crashing i lost So many pics so more typing less pics, which blows! However its still kinda cool! Even if no one reads it i know i am having fun remembering my old and present cars haha.

It all started when i graduated Highschool and went to ATC in exton in 2003. A kid by the name Dave Fanch (sp?) owned a 89 240sx hatch. I was the typical know it all with a big american v8 and thought all imports sucked. HA was i wrong, i quickly learned his 360 wheel horsepower sr was quite a monster. he was sponsored by falken tires and was part of import intelligence i do believe. He was all about drifting (i never really have been). I quickly got into them due to the plateform (RWD) and its just a bad ass lookin car. That is just so much fun to drive. Ironically enough my dad had a customer with a 93 coupe 5 speed just sitting at his shop. it was this car:

Imagine it bone stock tho all red. 180k on the clock. clean body u name it it was perfect. well my ex g/f picked it up for 600 bucks and started driving it for a beater. she needed it more then me so w/e. But soon after i picked this up:



1989 240sx auto -> Converted shell. It was a rust bucket. but for $250 bucks. i couldn't say no. the heads up display worked and it had a pretty clean interior. Some of u may recongize it..... its slidewayzs13 or w/e his name is 240sx I ended up selling it to a good friend of mine at the time for 500 bucks. deal was i fixxed the rust (SHOULD HAVE KEPT THIS CAR).

Some time goes on and i pick up 2 more 240sx's off the same person!! My ex g/f is still driving the 93 coupe around but i had to have more. So i picked these up:


1992 240sx Hatch SE
Imagine this car with the right front slightly banged up due to an accident. I had this car professionally pulled for 400 bucks by kurts autobody in dublin (DON"T GO THERE). So, for 600 bucks... the car had a rebuilt ka24de ran a 15.3 at 88 at the track (stock KA) and was just an insanely great plateform.

I also picked this car up:



1991 240sx Super hicas 5 speed car.

This car had those gay motegi wheels on it and came with a blacktop sr20! It was probably the most hacked swap i have ever seen. Masking tape held the harness together. The kid claimed the engine was blown and the tranny was shot. i picked it up for 2g's. Went to lake hopatcong (yea...) started it up, drove it on the trailer and went home. Thought he was gonna cry. Got home and stripped the hacked crap in it. found out all it needed was the bushing for the shifter... and i have no clue what he was talkin about being blown? THe car ran its nuts off. Unfortunely the body was shot. No rust, but 208k on it and it just was run down. I eventually swapped in a ka24de and sold it for 1500 bucks 2+ years ago. Now if ur still reading this long drawn out thread your probably asking what did u do with that blacktop!! Easy, i sold the whole setup to my buddy with the 89 for 1500 bucks. That car ended up looking like this:



Now you know why i should have kept it huh? ****in sick sweet bad ass car. The best color offered in 240 land. Slideways is the current owner and hopefully its treatin him well

So what did i do with that 1992 hatch? well my ex g/f wanted it cuz it was a hatch and had power options. Turned out to be an se. So we traded. the coupe for the hatch. Everyone is happy. She drove her hatch i made the coupe look like this:






Well the motor eventually starting making noise. thought it was a rod going, turned out the flywheel was just loose... Ripped the engine apart for nothing. Ended up scrapping the setup and the KA.

1-1.5 years go by, lost interest in cars completely.... Work on them all day and its really hard to come home to work on them again lol.

Jump ahead to a little over a year ago i end up buying my ex's 240 back off her for 1500 (Even longer story).

It will probably be one of the worst days of my life when this car sells. This is the car that started my obsession and i love it to death.

For some reason 3-4 months ago i felt like spending an assload of money. So i bought this:



1992 240sx Convertible. 5-speed swapped (came with car just had to install). Not bad for 825 bucks huh? Needed a motor. So.... i did just that. bought a rb20det motorset from a forum member with some mods and swapped her on in. Build thread is here for anyone who cares: http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=353461

Hoping to take it to R/T Tuning soon to get a tune for her once i get everything buttoned up. Then off for sale she goes!

So yea thats it. All will hopefully be sold by the end of this year. I probably missed an assload of details... but who cares. i think the picture was painted well enough. I picked up a 96 del sol off a forum member (sebsol) and gonna daily that for some good gas milage and start saving some cash.

Awww my baby when he was just an unmolested baby haha......Yea he is def being kept in good hands......Getting the fresh heart put in hopefully very soon (waiting on the block to come back) Then she will be capable of over 600 whp on race gas! She is sitting on a nice part of ///Work Vs-xx wheels i just got, and new suspension and LSD also. Ill will let you know when it is all done and Ill have to take you for a ride!

yea, gotta move on. Its to hard to buy and sell these cars anymore... prices are getting ridiculous, and just saving for the future. To keep one would be to stick a lot more money into it heh. Its just to addicting!

like i said man, back a couple years ago people gave away these cars... its seriously been in the last year the prices have seriously increased. The vert i got cheap cuz it needed an engine and the top is messed up on the one side. goes down manually but when u use the button it gets all messed up. got a couple of pins to order from the dealer soon.


Evo8kid - Are u the silver evo across the street at the shell? Today was its first day out there for sale "officially" Thats my dads shop. I work there every other saturday. Stop on in if ya want! Anyway, i put all my cars out there for sale. Its out there for 5500 OBO right now. Its 100% mechanically sound. Just needs the body work. runs perfect on the ca18det swap. List of mods is on the window if u know anyone interested. i should have my other 2 out there soon as well. be a wall of 240sx's on taylorsville road =)

opz - U don't want those headlights. they have 0 light output and looked like ****. Stick with stockers or swap front ends =)

Tom Matthews. I was workin on the del sol today. hear that knockin POS? was trying to blow it up again but to no avail. hahahahaha. Got a new motor now =)

Good to know. Honestly these car's are amazing...there's been more then a couple times I've thought about selling my elantra for another 240...but I need something to drive in the winter that won't rust apart on me.

no ****. tom put the clutch in my dads red 67 vette. I know junior all too well too. I saw the del sol getting pulled in backwards into the garage. it kinda looked like it hit somthing backing half way in.

yea... Sucks you know junior. hes a jerk off. But the sol is kinda dropped like.... 5 inches.. and the cat decided it was gonna hit the bay floor backing it in. lol. had to use some wood and push power to get that pos in the garage. she'll be a good daily tho. new suspension and stock exhaust is the way to go
