Lime Rock Park

I went to LimeRock this past Sat for the first time with two friends. What a cool track. Nestled down in a valley completely surrounded by mountains. And what wonderful driving roads surrounding the place! I only wish we weren't in a Jeep Grand Cherokee. haha

We went up for a Grand Am sprint race and some Koni Challenge aka Speed GT racing. The Grand Am wasn't until Monday so we only caught quals and the two Koni races.

You should hear a 3 rotor RX8 as it is doing 150 down the straight away. Throttle blips as the driver down shifts the sequential while braking hard for the first hairpin. What a day!

This is a shot of the pit/paddock area from the hill we were watching from. Just on the other side is the main straight.



And a view of the track just off of the main straight from that same hill.





The VW/Audi club and a Mazda club had parade laps around the track...



And some of the teams readying their cars. The money in the pit areas is rediculous!
