quick question

I got a ticket 2 weeks ago for driving my car with a license plate that was not registured to my car. The officer also gave me a ticket for driving the car from West Chester to Harrisbrug when I bought the car the week before. When i told him that he told me that i was going to get a ticket for driving it home. I did not drive the car home, it was trailored. I did however drive the car up the road from the guys house to put it on the trailor, and i guess he assumed that i drove it. My question is: can he give me a ticket for driving the car in West Chester?
Thanks Tyler
