Sad to say that TriStateTuners will be going offline sometime around Oct. 15, 2024. After 20 years online, times have changed and its no secret that the forum's activity level has slowed to a crawl. Its been an incredible run with so many amazing friendships formed and community events held, plus all of the technical knowledge and entertainment shared online. I know I'm not the only one who has had both their personal and professional life impacted and improved significantly from this community, and I'm happy to have been a part of something so special. Thank you to so many people who volunteered to the community -- the entire moderating team, behind the scenes IT support, those who organized events, and everyone who contributed online to this unique local car community. I hope that many years after the prime of TST, many of you are still enjoying cars even if we are all "grown up" now. Please take the time to revisit your member journal and reminisce, or browse any other parts of the forum. Maybe reach out to an old friend or two and make plans to grab dinner and catch up. The timeline may change slightly but I wanted to get this notice up as quickly as possible to give everyone a bit of advance notice. Thanks for everything, TROLL

Scapegoat TST Ruined My Life! Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: stop looking at my gold Member #1208 iTrader: (1)	auto cross so, the time hath cometh... or something like that. I'm looking to purchase a vehicle for autocross. I've got two options... Miata or MR2 Spider I'm looking to spend under 5k for the vehicle, I want a stock car to start with so I can mod as I go and really learn to drive the car from stock to modified. The pro's of the miata is that I can eventually move on to Spec Miata racing. But with the MR2 I can drive around in something a little more unique looking. Both are rwd, but the mr2 is mid engine. Neither make a whole lot of horsepower stock. Any opinions for or against either car?
