Laugh of the Day

Well, recently I returned to my job at good old Circuit City. I reside in the car audio department, and while I'm not working on a car I'm out on the floor helping sell things.

So I'm out on the floor just standing there. Needless to say, we're dead. An old man comes stumbling my way, at first I thought he was drunk but later saw him tapping his blind stick around. "Interesting place for a blind man to be", I thought to myself. The old man stumbled my way, smashing his poking stick into all of the floor displays.

"Can I help you out sir?" I asked before he managed to hit me in the shins with his bright red shaft.

"Oh, well yes you most certainly can." The old man said with a hoarse tone.

"Sure, what do you need."

"Well, I'd like to see some of your GPS navigations."

Good thing he was blind, god forbid he saw my facial expression.

"Uh, ok, we'll I'll show you, I mean, I can point yo__ ... just follow me please."

He started asking me questions about the navigations. A few were just the normal jarble about what this is this vs this, and then he asked me a few questions only a blind man would ask. Questions like, "what are the prices? I can't see them" and "why is this one so big?" followed by "that's the box sir."

The real scare about this whole thing... why does he need a GPS? More specifically, why does he need one specified to HIS needs. He is blind, surely he is not going to rely on "turn by turn" directions to aid his unfortunate "disadvantage" behind the wheel. Scary really.

Oh how I love retail.

Relax, bud. When the dude with a drag Honda and a boosted daily that has had fast Honda's for years AND fabs his own parts tells the new kids on the block that they're doing it wrong, it's time to step back and learn something.
