First Ticket
Last night I went to my friends birthday dinner. We were going back to his gf's house, he was in his Camaro and I was in my Mustang. On the way back we were speeding, as with every other driver on the road. Well, he apparently got "clocked" on 202 at 60mph and then they followed us from 202 down Smithbridge Road where two cops finally pulled us both over. Now, the cop that pulled me over had nothing on me. He didn't have my speed at all, he was tailgating me the whole time on Smithbridge which made me speed up (I couldn't tell it was a cop). So I didn't receive a ticket in hand, but I'm getting a citation in the mail. My friend got a ticket saying he was doing 60 in a 35...but the speed limit on 202 is 45, and the limit on Smithbridge is 35. Is that something we could take on in court?
Also, his cop threw out the idea that we were racing. But my cop said I'm getting a citation in the mail for wreckless driving and speeding. Is wreckless driving the racing? Because I was only speeding, and my driving was fine..just fast. Recap: Got "clocked" at 60 in 35, but where they clocked us was a 45. And if they did "clock" him on Smithbridge (the 35) they would have only clocked me cause I was behind him and they were behind me. And cop is sending me a ticket in the mail for wreckless driving and speeding. |
