Apartments...

Which would you feel safer in, an apartment in a highrise whose main renter base is the elderly, or an apartment located on the first floor of a 2 floor apartment building?

I've been giving this a lot of thought and originally wasn't happy with the idea of the highrise... but the more I think about it the more secure I feel with that as my home due to the height of the points of entrance.
