After careful review of this thread i've decided to delicately put in my 2¢. I've seen some bad accidents happen right in front of me, and i've lost friends through both pure coincidence and their negligence as a driver. It is never easy for anyone who loves cars to hear about this kind of thing, even for me, not even knowing the person, i know what it does to those left behind. Life is fragile, and often cut far too short. For people who decide to live out there on the edge, you have to remember that for some, that is who they are, and you can't come down hard on them after the fact. It's human nature to push the envelope, to try and be "controlling the thing that can't be controlled". Not saying you should turn common sense off, just saying that some people just have different gear ratios in their personality. Even if they don't, a freak situation could still claim them. People are all different, and every situation where tragedy strikes is different. I for one hope the memorial event is put together, and people show up, because everyone needs to remember that life is fragile, and you should live it to the fullest, not the foolishest.
