Sad to say that TriStateTuners will be going offline sometime around Oct. 15, 2024. After 20 years online, times have changed and its no secret that the forum's activity level has slowed to a crawl. Its been an incredible run with so many amazing friendships formed and community events held, plus all of the technical knowledge and entertainment shared online. I know I'm not the only one who has had both their personal and professional life impacted and improved significantly from this community, and I'm happy to have been a part of something so special. Thank you to so many people who volunteered to the community -- the entire moderating team, behind the scenes IT support, those who organized events, and everyone who contributed online to this unique local car community. I hope that many years after the prime of TST, many of you are still enjoying cars even if we are all "grown up" now. Please take the time to revisit your member journal and reminisce, or browse any other parts of the forum. Maybe reach out to an old friend or two and make plans to grab dinner and catch up. The timeline may change slightly but I wanted to get this notice up as quickly as possible to give everyone a bit of advance notice. Thanks for everything, TROLL

Subie_sleeper Tri-State Post Whore Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: Center Valley Pa. Member #5775 My Ride: '06 Subaru Baja Turbo. Cash consuming vortex from HELL iTrader: (1)	Brake upgrade questions. Not sure which way to go... I'm looking for thoughts on the best way to upgrade my brakes on the Baja. I ordered a full set of EBC slotted and dimpled rotors today. The guy told me that I don't need to upgrade the stock pads right away. He could have easily sold me pads w/the order. His logic was to let the new rotors break in with the stock pads and change them in a month or two. He also said that fade wouldn't be an issue with the stock pads because the new rotors are like cheese graters and take material off the pad way quicker than stock smooth rotors , meaning no fade. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
