think I did the right thing? (drama)

So to make a long story short, this one guy I work with is a total jerkoff. He's one of those guys that always has to have the last word, he's always gotta be better and have better things then everybody else, and he thinks he is completely hilarious even though in all reality he's just an azzhole. So yesterday with it being all nice and what not, I left my windows down when I got to work because I didn't wanna bake when I got in to leave. He decided it would be just HILARIOUS to go into my car and unbolt the front seats and he was trying to take them out when I caught him in the act. I flipped sht and started freakin out on him. So I spend 20 mins trying to get everything back in its place, cuz I didn't know where half of the plastic pieces went...well anyways, when I was going to clock out, me and my friend that I work with went to the manager. (they were messing w/ his truck to, they thought it'd be funny to take the whole bed off) Me and my friend told the manager everything, not to mention about how the guy was stealing, playing with airsoft guns in the shop/in the store, etc etc. To be honest I really hope he gets fired, I can't stand him. But do you think I/we did the right thing going to the manager? I mean this stuff is just rediculous, especially in a work environment. I dont wanna feel like I gotta deal w/ his bulldoody everyday and have him eff with me and be a dick all the time, I'm sick of it.
