Sad to say that TriStateTuners will be going offline sometime around Oct. 15, 2024. After 20 years online, times have changed and its no secret that the forum's activity level has slowed to a crawl. Its been an incredible run with so many amazing friendships formed and community events held, plus all of the technical knowledge and entertainment shared online. I know I'm not the only one who has had both their personal and professional life impacted and improved significantly from this community, and I'm happy to have been a part of something so special. Thank you to so many people who volunteered to the community -- the entire moderating team, behind the scenes IT support, those who organized events, and everyone who contributed online to this unique local car community. I hope that many years after the prime of TST, many of you are still enjoying cars even if we are all "grown up" now. Please take the time to revisit your member journal and reminisce, or browse any other parts of the forum. Maybe reach out to an old friend or two and make plans to grab dinner and catch up. The timeline may change slightly but I wanted to get this notice up as quickly as possible to give everyone a bit of advance notice. Thanks for everything, TROLL

Intercooled T Tri-State Post Whore Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Fairless Hills, PA Member #207 My Ride: 2003 Toyota Rav4 iTrader: (0)	Question about installing a stereo I've installed a lot of headunits in my time, but never one without a built-in amplifier. The headunit is an Eclipse 55430 headunit, and doesn't have a built-in amp, so I'm curious if I still need a wiring harness adapter or not. Normally, headunits with a built-in amp have a wire harness for power, ground, remote, fl, fr, rl, rr, etc. I'm assuming I'll need an external 4-channel amp to power my speakers, correct? If I still have to use a wire-harness adapter to mate to my GM wiring harness, am I only hooking up the power and ground? The unit has 4 sets of pre-outs, so it'll obviously be connecting to an amp, but I just want to double-check everything and make sure that all I'm hooking up is the power, ground and remote (to turn on the amp) thanks all, Chris __________________ 2003 Toyota Rav4, 2.0L/Auto/AWD To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater.
