To keep the 2-piece driveshaft or not

What is the real purpose of the 2-piece driveshaft in the e36? With the swap I am doing I have to get a custom driveshaft made. Should I just give the driveshaft shop the front part of the driveshaft to use the splined end on the new shaft or should I have them make an entirely new 1-piece driveshaft.

Also do I take out the Guibo? How much vibration does the Guibo really take out? I have the PowerFlex Subframe Bushings so I am a little worried about any added vibrations.

And the third question is, what would be a better alternative.... To buy the AA DSB or to try and copy the Diff fix I have seen on another e36. I believe the guys name is Ron, He has a 332is that I will try to find some pics of and I will post them ASAP.
