Ok, I know its a terrible idea but tell me why. Camber issue. Expln the science to me

I realize its a bad idea. But I want to hear the science behind it.

I have major issues with my lowered w203 in the front camber. I'm about to order the kmac front camber kit for $500 but was given this idea by a local old school hot rod guy.

According to him, SCCA drivers will often replace the upper hub bolt with a smaller diameter GRADE 8 bolt, lock washer, and two fender washers. This is to correct negative camber when a lobbed upper hub bolt won't correct negative camber.

He also told me that machining the upper hub bolt hole out will give more range of camber but I know thats just a terrible idea.

How are all these old men still alive?

Thoughts?
