Yea that's not a bad idea, but if you actually like it you may outgrow a set of clubs like that pretty fast. You can put together a nice set for only 100 or so more than that. You should go to the driving range and rent some clubs a few times to see if you like it. Then if you do, buy some nicer ones. You can get a set of nice irons for like 200, a decent driver for 1-200 a putter for under 50 and a bag for about 50 too. Granted it won't be the top of the line for the current year, but will be much much better than a generic set in a box from Dick's
