Sad to say that TriStateTuners will be going offline sometime around Oct. 15, 2024. After 20 years online, times have changed and its no secret that the forum's activity level has slowed to a crawl. Its been an incredible run with so many amazing friendships formed and community events held, plus all of the technical knowledge and entertainment shared online. I know I'm not the only one who has had both their personal and professional life impacted and improved significantly from this community, and I'm happy to have been a part of something so special. Thank you to so many people who volunteered to the community -- the entire moderating team, behind the scenes IT support, those who organized events, and everyone who contributed online to this unique local car community. I hope that many years after the prime of TST, many of you are still enjoying cars even if we are all "grown up" now. Please take the time to revisit your member journal and reminisce, or browse any other parts of the forum. Maybe reach out to an old friend or two and make plans to grab dinner and catch up. The timeline may change slightly but I wanted to get this notice up as quickly as possible to give everyone a bit of advance notice. Thanks for everything, TROLL

I don't know how many of you have heard of "SquareUp" but its a pretty nifty device/software. It basically brings Paypal to you. You sign up for it and they send you a small device to plug into your smart phone. You can then link up to your bank account and begin to swipe cards with the device. There is a 2.75% charge but the rest is deposited into your account. You can add taxes and fees right on your smartphone, send receipts, etc. The app is free, the device is free, and there is no monthly service charge (plus a 0.25% fee reduction from Paypal). This could be used for business or personal reasons, I'll be able to sell things off craigslist using credit cards, sell car parts, yard sales, etc. My brother got his a few days ago and was showing me it so I just ordered mine today.
