An auto can pull for about 2s on the dyno before shifting into the next gear, they never get close to redline and most dynojets don't load the car enough compared to real-world which causes problems with some TCs. All this leads to much lower maximum #s on dyno pulls, but doesn't mean the car has the power.

Any turbo guy will attest to having to tune their electronic boost controller just for the dyno because it does put enough resistance on the wheels to fully load the engine to make the same boost. Mustang dynos are the exception and this is why the generally read lower HP. I always have to set my EBC to target about 5psi higher than normal on dynojets to get the same boost as what I get on the street.

From what I've seen, you can add up to about 50-100hp on top of what an auto dynos at to get the "true" whp depending on setup.
