Where to get repair estimate? (tax purposes)
So I bought a bike off of someone on CL. Guy put on the title that he gave it to me for $1. I told the Auto Tags that it as $1 sale (I know, should've said something close to $1-2k). 2 months later, get a letter from Penn Dept. of Revenue saying the price is way under, they need a Bill of Sale to prove I got it for that price or else they want $358.72 because that's the estimated tax on the Fair Market Value of the bike ($4,485). I thought I was fuked since I lost the sellers contact info, don't even know his name anymore. So I called them and they said if I can get a repair receipt or a repair estimate so that the price would be enough to close the case, I can fax it in. That's pretty awesome right?! I have a rashed left fairing, front fairing, and damaged stator cover and tail.
I was just wondering where I would go to get a repair estimate for bikes?
