Angry Suspect ID'd in North Phila. motorcycle murder

Quote:
NORTH PHILADELPHIA - May 19, 2011 (WPVI) -- Police say they have identified the man who shot a college student during a failed attempt to steal his motorcycle.

Jeffrey Little, 20, of the 2100 block of North Marvine Street, is wanted for the May 9th homicide of 23-year-old Mohan Varughese.

Police say Little is to be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 / 3335.

Varughese was shot and killed around 5:15 p.m. on May 9th in the 2200 block of North Camac Street in North Philadelphia. He was a Penn State student who was formerly enrolled at Temple University.

Witness Tanina Tindley was sitting on her porch that evening when Varughese rode up on his motorcycle and sat down on the stoop across the street with his girlfriend.

"They were sitting on the stoop spending quality time as a boyfriend and girlfriend would do, and I came in the house to take a shower and when I came back out he was laying on the ground and the girlfriend was screaming for help," Tindley said to Action News shortly after the murder.

Varughese was shot three times in the head and chest. He was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital.

Police say a gunman had suddenly appeared and went right up to Varughese, put a gun in his face and said 'give me the keys.'

Investigators believe Varughese didn't move quickly enough and was shot.

The gunman left without taking the motorcycle.
I hope he FRIES.
