Stop sign violation

i know there are other posts about stop sign violation but i kinda have a different question about it. Thursday in the pouring rain i went to pull out on fruitville pike in Lancaster and i stopped at the sign when i was just about in the lane i was suppose to be i was struck in the rear drivers side wheel. the car that hit me was a dark green vw with no headlights on. my main question is there some way that i could have the officer change the citation so that it wouldnt carry points.
