Worth doing HID's in non-projector vw Rabbit headlights?

I just picked up an 08 VW Rabbit. I want to do an HID kit soon, but my low beams are not projectors.. they are just regular headlights, reflectors i guess. Is it even worth doing an HID kit with regular headlights? I do not feel like retrofitting projectors in them or buying new headlights. Too much $.

I dont think its worth getting a nice HID kit, if the light is just gonna be scattered everywhere b/c of not having projectors. Prob just a cheap kit?

These are my headlights:
