Sad to say that TriStateTuners will be going offline sometime around Oct. 15, 2024. After 20 years online, times have changed and its no secret that the forum's activity level has slowed to a crawl. Its been an incredible run with so many amazing friendships formed and community events held, plus all of the technical knowledge and entertainment shared online. I know I'm not the only one who has had both their personal and professional life impacted and improved significantly from this community, and I'm happy to have been a part of something so special. Thank you to so many people who volunteered to the community -- the entire moderating team, behind the scenes IT support, those who organized events, and everyone who contributed online to this unique local car community. I hope that many years after the prime of TST, many of you are still enjoying cars even if we are all "grown up" now. Please take the time to revisit your member journal and reminisce, or browse any other parts of the forum. Maybe reach out to an old friend or two and make plans to grab dinner and catch up. The timeline may change slightly but I wanted to get this notice up as quickly as possible to give everyone a bit of advance notice. Thanks for everything, TROLL

soCo Tri-State Aficionado Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Hatboro Member #3714 My Ride: 03 Nissan 350Z, 2005 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R iTrader: (0)	Textile vs Leather I'm getting a bike soon (and taking the MSF) and want to get good protective gear to save my ass when I go down. I know what I want as far as helmet, gloves, and boots are concerned. But I've been hearing different things about jackets. What is the better one to get? I have a good bit of money I can spend on this stuff and don't want to shy away from better products, especially if it means better safety....I'll just guestimate 400 dollars to be my spending limit on a jacket.
