JMF STI exhaust build
Yesterday I spent a few hours doing some upgrades to my girl's '07 STI. Up until then all she had was a CBRD ProTune with the Access port that netted her around 40 hp/tq over stock. Now she has a Invidia / JMF exhaust and will be putting on the Perrin intake in the near future.
We ended up buying the Invidia downpipe due to the quality vs. price ratio it offered. A strong cast bellmouth inlet on whatever downpipe she chose was a must I told her, and I couldn't see her justify spending $300+ more on one just because of the name brand. There was only one thing about it I didn't like, and that was the outlet flange, so I cut off the 2 bolt flange and v-banded it instead. No more gaskets! From there on back I pieced it together with all 3" stainless tubing and two Magnaflow mufflers to keep the drone down while at cruising speeds but still rumblely enough to know it's not stock. The exhaust hangers I didn't realize the STI used 5/8"-ish size tubing so I had to improvise with the only 1/2" SS rod I had. Other than that, I think it came out perfect in my opinion.Pics and vids: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
