Brake noise?
OK so after I put my new brakes in I noticed a strange rubbing noise coming from them or something in the area. If I move forward, even rolling at 5mph, there is a rubbing noise that comes from the brakes. I thought I had adjusted my rear calipers wrong (using the screw) so I checked them, and the noise is still there. As soon as I touch the brake pedal the noise goes away and it doesn't happen if I am moving backwards. Turning the wheel doesn't make it louder or quieter, and doesn't eliminate it.
Any ammount of pressure on the brake pedal makes the noise go away, and if I let off the pedal there is about a half a second of lag and then it comes back. I think it's coming from the brakes anyway but maybe it's just me hoping that it's not something more serious. Also if I pull on the e-brake even a little bit the noise goes away too. Brakes in my car are Hawk HPS which I hear are a bit loud but I didn't think I would hear stuff like this.
