Sad to say that TriStateTuners will be going offline sometime around Oct. 15, 2024. After 20 years online, times have changed and its no secret that the forum's activity level has slowed to a crawl. Its been an incredible run with so many amazing friendships formed and community events held, plus all of the technical knowledge and entertainment shared online. I know I'm not the only one who has had both their personal and professional life impacted and improved significantly from this community, and I'm happy to have been a part of something so special. Thank you to so many people who volunteered to the community -- the entire moderating team, behind the scenes IT support, those who organized events, and everyone who contributed online to this unique local car community. I hope that many years after the prime of TST, many of you are still enjoying cars even if we are all "grown up" now. Please take the time to revisit your member journal and reminisce, or browse any other parts of the forum. Maybe reach out to an old friend or two and make plans to grab dinner and catch up. The timeline may change slightly but I wanted to get this notice up as quickly as possible to give everyone a bit of advance notice. Thanks for everything, TROLL

Broken5hift Tri-State Post Whore Banned Join Date: Apr 2005 Member #397 My Ride: 08 Scion Xb & 06 TSX iTrader: (0)	Camera Noob needs your inputs You guys seem to have a pretty good handle on camera's and such, so I'm gonna ask for some schooling when it comes to camera's like the Nikon D40. The prices have been falling and I would really like to get one to take some nice pics of my daughter. I have a canon point and shoot now, and it takes great pics, but Id like to be able to focus the camera and get some real shots. Im not looking to spend a lot of money and Im not going to go crazy with lenses and such. So my question is, whats a good starter camera that comes with a decent lens? All I know of are Nikon D40's
