Sad to say that TriStateTuners will be going offline sometime around Oct. 15, 2024. After 20 years online, times have changed and its no secret that the forum's activity level has slowed to a crawl. Its been an incredible run with so many amazing friendships formed and community events held, plus all of the technical knowledge and entertainment shared online. I know I'm not the only one who has had both their personal and professional life impacted and improved significantly from this community, and I'm happy to have been a part of something so special. Thank you to so many people who volunteered to the community -- the entire moderating team, behind the scenes IT support, those who organized events, and everyone who contributed online to this unique local car community. I hope that many years after the prime of TST, many of you are still enjoying cars even if we are all "grown up" now. Please take the time to revisit your member journal and reminisce, or browse any other parts of the forum. Maybe reach out to an old friend or two and make plans to grab dinner and catch up. The timeline may change slightly but I wanted to get this notice up as quickly as possible to give everyone a bit of advance notice. Thanks for everything, TROLL

olmytsi Tri-State Post Whore Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Los Angeles Member #159 My Ride: 99 Lexus SC300 iTrader: (2)	computer gurus...no sound problem I have a toshiba satellite 1905-s301 laptop running windows xp home edition. Since a few hours ago, i get no sound. I did some investigating and i found that my sound device (Crystal WDM audio codec)has an error. I went to the toshiba website and downloaded it and reinstalled it and after the install, the laptop shut off and kept shutting off on start up. It is miraculously not shutting off anymore but if i try to play a video or mp3, it shuts off. Anyone experience this? If so, how can i fix it? My system restore doesn't work either so thats not an option. I would like to avoid rebooting my computer because i have lots of important files. Any help is appreciated Thanx T
