choosing a car

I want to hear your opinions. I know it's going to be my car and i should choose it but im torn between them all so maybe get some opinions from you all.

1997 honda civic coupe with 01 sohc vtec swap 50k on engine 230k on body. all new suspension. (In the area)

1991 honda civic hatch si b16 head sohc vtec swap, all receipts comes with everything to turbo it i just have to do it myself. 5k on engine 110k on body but dude seems shady. (Way far)

1995 civic hatch 120k on body with sohc swap thats it. (In the area)

any opinions are greatly appreciated. Save your negative comments about me asking others opinions.

I would go with first option but only cause of low mileage motor. Look wise I prefer the 95 hatch. I like hondas but they stay getting stolen.. Lol

number 3. 120k really isn't bad at all for overall miles.

but more details on all three would help alot. your really not giving much information about any of the cars.

IMO I would stay away from cars that had engine swaps. I would rather buy a stock Civic with 150k on it than one that was swapped.

motor swaps are a scary thing to get into, you never know the exact number of miles on the motor. When guys start swapping used parts on to cars it gets real weird like this:
"The body has 230k, the "JDM" motor has 50k, the axles have 20k, there about 65% tread on the tires left, the trans has 65k on it."

just not worth it. I say buy a STOCK car and mod it yourself so you know every single thing thats done to that car. I bought my talon with a ACT 2100 clutch a boost controller SAFC and fuel pump, and rims. I GOT EVERY RECEIPT EVEN THOSE FOR OIL OR WASHER FLUID! and thats relatively stock for a 1g dsm

Unfortunately this might ring a little true. As great as I thought the porsche was when I bought it I've spent about 20 grand fixing things the previous owner did to the car. Another 7 grand and replace the ecu and wiring harness and the car should be a real runner.

To fully answer your question :

1: No, because as mentioned with engine swaps, this and that swaps, you never really know.

2: No, because its as you put it "way far" and the guy is shaddy. That should be reason enough but to evaluate a little, there are always hondas around and in the "honda world, yo" shaddy = run, dont walk away from characters.

3: No, because once again the whole swaps thing is iffy unless you know the person. Out of the three of them, this one is the best but still no.

Look for a stock one and build it yourself. Honda ppl are not to be trusted.
