Import DPS "Overhaulin" Qualified Applicants Need Apply Now!!

Import DPS as part of our 1st Quarter Promotions is teaming up with many mfg's such as Power Rev Racing, Megan Racing and more. We will basically be using a "overhaulin" type format in which we will secretly take a qualified and selected vehicle to be slightly overhauled. While we will not be doing any paint/body work, we will basically be taking a car and putting some good parts on it to give that person who really cant afford Performance Parts a chance to have a really stout and cool ride.

Here are the Rules.

1. We will not be releasing a time frame, but we will say in next 90 days. Reason we are not posting a time limit is so that just in case the actual person's car were taking reads this thread will not be so suspect as to a timeframe as well.

2. You can't "VOTE FOR YOURSELF" This is a chance to help a friend, family member or really deserving person. Don't be selfish.

3. Car must be close enough for us to get the vehicle.

4. Vehicle must be in running condition. We will not be performing maintenance or swap type builds. We will only be adding to a car.

5. While we are not firm on the car, we would prefer a 2006-2009 Civic Si, Nissan 240sx, Nissan 350Z/G35, Evo or Sti.

6. Dependant on the build and due to the mfg's ever so kind donations, we will have to have the owner of the car sign a form after the car is overhauled that they will not remove the parts for at least 6 months. Import DPS really doesn't want to give somebody a part that won't like the part. We feel in house as do the suppliers that if a part is free and given to you based on a entry that you should hold on to your prize.

7. We have actual Police Officers serving as our Decoys. We also have an investigator an lawyer as well. Real, hard working individuals are taking time out there day to help us do this for somebody. So please, make sure that whomever car we take is not somebody who will go ballz to the wallz trying to find the car. We will have the car depending on the project for no more than 3-5 days.

How do I apply?

Simply email the following information to sales@importdpsspeedshop.com with the title "Import DPS Overhaulin"

Full Name
Contact #
Why this person deserves to be overhauled.
Who can help us with taking the car and covering such as a parent.
Parents telephone # or spouse #
Type of Car, year etc.
Current Modifications if any.
What this person means to you? This is my best friend etc.

Best of luck to the Winner!!

Just told somebody this on pm. I personally and we as a company want somebody who really is a good, genuine, hard working person to win. I am sure you really can't afford your Si, I can barely some months afford mine HOWEVER if your friends/family really feel you deserve it. All you have to do is have them email us why you are deserving and we will look at all of them and consider it.

Just like the show, its gotta be something where the person deserves it. We could spend this money on newspaper ads, magazine ads even our own personal cars but we wanted to do something fun and do something for that special person that really puts everything else in front of themselves. I will personally get alot of pleasure out of helping somebody out and so should you. A good deed never goes unrewarded in the end.

ok maybe i'm weird but why are you choosing to do the cars you mentioned in your first post. 90% of those cars are not cheap and the owners of those cars can obviously afford that and some other toys if they're throwing cash around for an evo/sti, 350z, g35, etc. why not pick a cheaper starting vehicle with someone that is struggling to build the car the way they want it?

I only mentioned those cars because those would be cars that would be able to get done faster. Plus on top of that, we already have alot of support from other vendors for it as well. For example, if a newer Si got picked, the person can pretty much count on having every P2R part out for that car. Were open to anything though, those were just preferences. At the end of the day when we make our decision, its going to the person we feel most deserving and whom will really appreciate what we have done as well as the group of people involved in this project.
