i was gonna do a rebuild on my 4g63t 7 bolt but i dont have the ability to do it at home and i was looking for a shop that would do the rebuild for a reasonable price. i live in reading pa which is like an hour west of philly. lmk what you guys think.

Jesse Miller is pretty good but he turned me down for a build I wanted to do, and I hear he is picky on what he works on. But I suggest you go to Ruhl's machine shop in Mount Joy. PM me if you want there info

I know it's not close by any means, but in morris county NJ there is a small shop Edwin's Automotive in Parsippany that has done a lot of the DSM rebuilds for the big guys in NJ and is reasonably priced. He's actually doing mine right now.

turbotaloon what is it costing you and what are you getting done. i hear a tick on start up so i know i need lifters and rods and bearing would be nice also i have some minor oil leaks.

I gave the shop a 6 bolt block with rods/pistons, crank, and main caps. They are decking, honing, hot tanking, reconditioning the rods. I'm giving them new pistons/rings/bearings to install. They are dissasembling, doing the block work, then reassembling for around $1,200 in labor. Parts were like $350. Slowboy sells OEM pistons in a set of 4 with rings and wrist pins for a good price. ExtremePSI has good prices on bearings. PM me if you need more info...I may not always catch this thread.
