TheFro's S13, Engine Bay is less empty.

So, my first car was a 240sx, and I loved it. I had great plans for it and all this happy crap and then none of it materialized and I ended up selling the car. Then I bought and FC to build, which didn't happen, so now I'm finally back in an S13.

I bought this car for a steal, it's originally a Texas car. It's pretty much 98% rust free, with the worst of the rust just being minor surface stuff that would take 20 minutes to get rid of.

It's probably going to turn into a drift car, in some relative eventuality, assuming I don't crash it into a Curb, Car, Pole, Etc.

For now I'm going to let the pictures do the talking, all of which are copied from my blog.

If you want the words that go along with the pictures then check out the link to my blog in my signature, I didn't feel like typing it all out.

looking good dude. Can't wait to see where this goes. I remember meeting you once back when you had your old S13. Hope your plans work out for you this time.

I think we met way back in the day at one of the sonic meets.

You traded my brother for a vented headlight cover, right?

That's what I'm hoping, too.

In car news, I ordered a quick release yesterday, and picked up a welded diff from Jspek (Chaz). I also drove the car ~30miles and throughly enjoyed most of it. It's still not running perfectly though, but I think that most of that can be blamed on the partially stale gas that's still in the tank.

I probably won't be working on the car much until Saturday. I've got to go to Virginia for a funeral.

Need some help with my KA24(E)

Anyone good with Single Cams? I need some help.

When I bought the car it had been sitting for a few years. The gas was stale and it drove like crap. Now I'm emptied the tank and put fresh premium gas in it and it's still not running that well.

1) Sometimes when coming to a stop the car's idle will flicker between 200 rpm and 800 rpm. Maybe in 1 in 5 of these instances the car will stall out and die. It quickly starts again without much issue. (Vacuum Leak?)

2) The car doesn't like to rev. In first and second gear the car will rev over 5k without too much effort. In third and fourth gear (and I'm assuming fifth) the rev over 4.5k and 5k respectively. It doesn't feel like a rev limiter because the car just cuts off and doesn't respond to throttle until the rpms drop to about 3k.

3) The car also just feels slow. I couldn't spin first or second gear in the rain today - Though I did have 3/4+ tank of fuel so this may have contributed to the difficulty spinning.

I'm most concerned with issue 2, does anyone have any ideas?

(Also, How do I change my thread title?)

Thanks, and I've been on 240sxfamily before, but I don't need to join another forum, I'm already on NICO Club, Zilvia, TST, Clubloose and some other forums.

Thanks, most people seem to like the wheel.

And I have a better feeling about this build. My life is a bit more stable, and I'm not a broke HS kid trying build cars with no money.

I also updated my blog with more pictures of the car, none of them are actually build related so I won't post them here.
