caught speeding with ENRADD
Couple questions. I was cited a ticket for doing 45 in a 25. Just started on my trek to taking my girls to school down a back mountain road. Up at the top of the road a sign is posted for 25 and theres an ess curve right after and i know i was doing between 15-20 around that. At the end i let my car coast some while talking with my girls and keeping eye on the road. Noticed i was going a lil fast down the hill and immidiately slowed and was doing around 30 to the stop sign at which time i first saw the cop car pulling up behind me.Not a very long road at all. I came to a stop and proceeded through to continue my trip. Officer followed me through and after i had gotten up to speed on the other side which the speed limit is 45 he then decides to pull me over.
Anyhow he gave me a ticket. On the ticket says ENRADD was used but where it says distance timed it is left blank. I have 2 questions... 1) Why didnt the officer pull me over back when i was supposedly doing 45 when i know i was doing 30-35 up to the stop sign instead of waiting til i came to a stop and continue following me through to the other side and wait til i got up to the speed limit before deciding to pull me over? 2) Does the distance timed Have to be written on the ticket for it to be valid?I have noticed on tickets of others with ENRADD being used that there was a distance time marked down such as .216 or .138 or something like that as well as all the other info such as when last tested and where? 3) Is there a chance i can get it reduced at trial cause that would be 20 mph over the limit which is 4 points i believe almost equivellent to that of leaving the scene of an accident...nevermind what will happen to the insurance? |

Here is a website that is very useful for a non-law enforcement person. It gives you pretty much all you need to know about how the ENRADD system works. http://www.enradd.com/ As for the points, it's usually up to the officer if he is going to ease the ticket at all. That usually occurs on the date you have to go to court. |

1. Was probably running your tag and getting your information before stopping you, I do that a lot just want to get the info of the possible person ill be dealing with
2. Info should be on there, but doesnt need to be 3. Gets decided in court, theres always a chance but its never definite
